I think that this Lang-8 post largely was corrected because there are more complex words that I could have used to describe the reporting of Thatcher's death. For example, people who corrected my post used words such as 報道 where I simply used 話す. I also didn't know that there was a specific word for "Former Prime Minister," which one editor added into his comments. The last thing of note was that I was misusing たくさん and not adding the の afterwards, which is important. Overall I think I did moderately well on this, but could have put slightly more effort into finding the appropriate words to describe the situation.
